Research task 1

i was researching demographic as to what it exactly is and i found this website to give me a basic idea as to what it is and then i can build around what i have saw here for i had a slight idea as to what it is. however i only used a small bit of this information because i needed more then that for a description http://www.thefreedictionary.com/demographic

i then continued my research to get a more in depth technical description so i could describe more about it and i came across this. i used the information on this website along with the information obtained from the other site for i think that is enough information to help me describe what demographic is. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/demographic

The research i used primarily was from this website for i found it it to be easy to understand and in depth for what i had to write. http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/definitions/Demographic+profile

i researched psychographic so i could have a better understanding of it and my work quality would be better. i found a website that had a good explanation of if it and it was so good i managed to get all of my information there because it gave a clear explanation as to what it is and why it is used. http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/psychographics.html

i already knew a lot about target audience before  researching so i didn’t have to do a lot of research i just needed more confirmation on the information i already had so this website was enough for me. http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/target-audience.html#ixzz1pqSzrepY

i had a rough idea about market research however i didn’t know a lot about it so i wanted a website to describe with a certain amount of depth. the first website i found  went in to some detail and i gained a understanding of it. http://www.entrepreneur.com/encyclopedia/term/82436.html. i then searched for more information on the matter that really explains it and says how it is utilized. http://www.marketresearchworld.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=38

Research Task 4

how i searched for jobs and how i did it.

The way i searched for jobs was i went on to a search engine (Google) and typed in “jobs” which is the topic of my search and then i typed “in Medway” i then examined the page and    started with the first option (my Google search bar was set to most relevant results first). once i was on the website (directgov) i typed in the appropriate information that fit in for me such as part time job and located 10 miles outside the Chatham area and then i typed in key words related to the job i was looking for so i typed in retail and then a list of results came up that fitted in with my criteria . i then read the title for each job seeing its title and selected the one that fitted in with me best i then read through the description of the job roles and decided on the job accordingly. the methods i used in obtaining these job vacancies were using key words that i wanted in a job or where i wanted it to be located i also used a popular search engine so i could get many results to choose from which makes my results more varied and i and i specified as to what job i was interested in.

Reviewing http://www.workcircle.co.uk/jobs/medway

the purpose of this website is to advertise jobs from all over the region that you select. it is a independent site  so i would assume the companies have to pay the website to post on there however there are adverts on this website so perhaps they let companies post on the website for free so they have a big section of jobs and can get more people on there webpage and the more people who go on there webpage the more they get paid by for advertising or they get paid by the adverts each month if they get a certain number of loggers on the website. it isnt a site that everyone knows about so it would avoid some people however it is easily found by on Google so its not very hard to find so there might be quite a bit of competition when applying for jobs. the jobs on this site are fairly varied offering jobs such as care workers network engineer and then service desk team leader and project manager however most of the jobs are full time jobs that require qualifications or prior experience but since they are varied the competition for theses jobs will be halfed becasue half will want manual work and the others might want manger or office work. the information it provides you with is to start with like if its part time, full time, how many hours, permanent or temporary and then when you have these options clicked you can then pick individual jobs from the site. i found a job through this website  as a deputy manager for a bupa care home, this job would probably have to be run very strict with few exceptions for you are working in a government job that is a social care position however i think if you were to have this job then i think it would give you vaulable experience that most companies would look for in a retail manager and its loacted in gingham so it would be a easy commute to get do.

Jobs and responsibilities of them

A script writers job role would be to write in accordance or in a theme that the producer or director wants i.e. if he wants a comedy show then you should come up with outline ideas of comedy and the pilot episode as to how it all starts and then do the script for the first episode introducing characters and humor.

A retail managers job role would be to control how the shop is being run e.g. to make sure that the shop opens on time, if a certain product is selling well on the shop floor then get some more out of stock and bring it out and to assign people to do jobs to make sure the shop can collect income e.g. someone on the cashier or depending how busy then maybe two people, someone on the floor asking if people need help and someone in the stock room.
